Gary Tyler Ewen Obituary, Elgin, IL Death: Beloved Son, Friend, and Faithful Soul Remembered at 37

Gary Tyler Ewen, affectionately known as “Bubba,” passed away on June 5, 2026, in Elgin, Illinois, at the age of 37. His passing has left family, friends, and all who knew him grieving the loss of a man remembered for his kindness, warmth, and deep faith.

Born on July 6, 1988, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois, Gary lived a life marked by love, sincerity, and a spirit that deeply touched those around him. He was known as a devoted son, cherished family member, and loyal friend whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and light into the lives of others.

Gary attended Lake Park High School, graduating in 2006, where he formed friendships and experiences that remained meaningful throughout his life. Education and personal growth were important to him, helping shape the man he became.

He had a strong passion for football, art, music, and writing—creative and expressive outlets that reflected both his energy and his thoughtful nature. Whether following a game, creating art, singing, or writing, Gary found ways to connect with the world around him in meaningful and heartfelt ways.

He is survived by his loving family, including Jon (Kathy), Tina, Jeffery, Nicholas (Candice), RaeAnn (Claudia), Tanner, and Athena, all of whom held special and enduring places in his life. Family was central to Gary’s identity, and the bonds he shared with them remained a source of strength throughout his journey.

Gary will be remembered for his kindness, his faith, and the genuine way he treated others. He had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, and his memory will continue to live on through the lives he touched.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Prayer Service at 4:15 PM at Bucaro Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 485 W. Army Trail Rd, Bloomingdale.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Church in Bloomingdale.
