The Creswick Soccer Club is deeply saddened to confirm the passing of current senior player and lifelong club member Tady Callahan, who died on Friday at the age of 28.
Tady was more than just a player at the club—he was part of its identity. Having first joined Creswick as a junior at just five years old, he spent the majority of his life involved with the club in one way or another, growing up on and around the pitch he would later return to as a senior player. His connection to the club ran deep, and so did the affection people had for him.
Known for his infectious personality, quick humour, and bright energy, Tady had a way of lifting the mood of every group he was part of. Teammates and coaches alike describe him as someone who could walk into a room and instantly bring people together. His love for the game was clear, but it was his spirit off the field that left the strongest impression.
Within the club, Tady was valued not only for his commitment to soccer but also for the friendships he built over many years. He was a constant presence in the Creswick community, and his loss is being felt deeply by teammates past and present, as well as by coaches and supporters who watched him grow through the years.
The club has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Callahan family, including his parents Julie and John, and his brothers Dace and Tiger, who is also a current club player. The entire Creswick community has expressed its support and sympathy during this incredibly difficult time.
